Pillow Talk!

I am new in the "sewing world." When I was a little girl my mom tried her darndest to teach me but I had absolutely no interest. Now that I am older I wish I had learned a little more from her, especially as I see so many cute sewing crafts and things to make. So this past Christmas, Steve got me my very own sewing machine. I was excited and intimidated all at the same time. So excited to learn, yet feeling so "sewing illiterate." I have been teaching myself slowly and just experimenting little bits at a time.
This past week I had so much fun learning how to make pillows! OK--I know they are easy for most people, but for me it was a HUGE accomplishment! I learned how to make a slipcover to fit over an existing pillow and also stuffed pillows. I practiced by making pillows for my dog Roscoe and his best friend Moose. I figured...they won't be too upset if I make any mistakes..ha ha. I was so happy with the end result and they were very easy and fun to make! Hopefully I will be posting more sewing projects on here in the future!

Great job on the pillows Chris! They look fantastic! And I was totally the same about sewing when I was younger, now it has opened a whole new world! I love it!

Way to go!
Love ya!
