Playing at Lake Nolin!

Well the summer is winding down and the weather is getting cooler, so we had our last lake day on Saturday. We had a great time tubing, wakeboarding, and skiing. It was so beautiful-the leaves are already starting to change colors so there were lots of red, yellow and orange leaves all around! We had such a great day--we're ready for Fall but it's always sad to see summer end!

Slumber Party!

On Friday night we had a Young Women slumber party!! We had so much fun roasting hot dogs and S'mores by the fire, playing games like Spoons, the Skittle game, makeup game, and Twister! I had so much fun just getting to play and goof around with the girls! We can't wait till the next one!

Holidays are around the corner!

I'm getting so excited for the holidays! It's true...I am a Christmas fanatic! But I also love the whole holiday season leading up to Christmas....Fall, Halloween, leaves changing, Thanksgiving, the air getting a little cooler and then of course....CHRISTMAS!! So to kick off the holiday season my friend and I made this cute craft last week. I had made the wreath last year but thought this was a festive addition to it! Holidays are comin!!! I can't wait!!

A Happy Horne Home!

Saturday was probably one of the happiest days in the Horne home. Why is this? It's really quite simple...our sports teams won!!! We got so much enjoyment out of watching BYU completely take apart UCLA (59-0), then USC pummeled Ohio State, and to top it off..the Dodgers won. Yes I have a very happy husband! In order to make it real and feel like we were back in the Collusium Steve rode around on our broom (yes..pretending he was Tommy Trojan riding the white horse) and then had a torch lighting ceremony in our back yard by proudly lighting and paying homage to a tiki torch! Oh Yes..we are dedicated even all the way over here in Kentucky! Go Trojans! Fight On!

Sunflowers make me happy!

I have found that now that I have a yard I really love being outside and planting things. A few months ago I planted these sunflowers. When I was home in California they grew a ton and when I came back they were all blooming! They are just outside my kitchen window and everytime I look out and see them they make me so happy! I just love them!
