Let it Snow!!!

Last night at about 8 pm we started getting some freezing rain. The roads were all iced over and you could hear the ping ping of the crunchy rain falling down and freezing before it hit the ground. Then this morning when we woke up there was snow everywhere!! I love that...it's so magical. When you go to bed, it's not there and then you wake up and there is a winter wonderland all around you! Must be Christmastime. Snow and magic are in the air!!

All Decked Out for Christmas Baking!

My Mom made me this cute Christmas apron! I just love it!! The best part is that you can wear both sides of it and there are big pockets in it! And she had all the pockets stuffed with surprises like a Christmas cookie cookbook and hot chocolate with candy canes! It meant so much to me that she made it for me! My Mom is the Queen of Christmas magic! Love you Mom!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas!

I LOVE CHRISTMAS! For anyone who knows me even a little bit, this is not breaking news! Every year I can hardly wait to kick off the Christmas season and now that we are in December and I can listen to Christmas music "legitimately" I am loving it!! After returning home from Indiana last week Steve and I decked out our house for Christmas! We added a few more lights and decorations inside because-- yes we are just crazy about Christmas! Let the season begin!! Wishing you all a happy Christmas season full of joy!

O' Christmas Tree.....

Steve and I came home from Indiana last week! Since we were already there, we decided to check out some of the Christmas tree farms that were in Indiana. We found this one that is called "Lost Forty Tree Farm." They have 40 acres of land and about 20 of them are filled with Christmas trees!!! What a dream!! It was a freezing cold day and all the trees were lightly dusted with snow, making them even more irresistible! After trying to decide between many pretty trees--we found the one for us! Steve cut it down and we hauled it back to our car--then came the adventerous part! Since we had been away from our home for about 2 1/2 weeks we not only had our suitcases that we had taken to Indiana, but we also had many bags from our Christmas shopping we did while we were there. Yes--our car resembled Santa's sleigh--and we had yet to fit the tree in! Thanks to some smart packing and re-organizing by Steve we were able to fit our tree in and then made our 2 hour drive home to Kentucky. We love our beautiful tree and are already attatched to "him." When we got back to Kentucky we sprung into high gear, decorating our home for the holidays,we have officially kicked off the holiday season at our home!!! (even though we all know that Christy was listening to Christmas music in October!) I just love this time of year when we can celebrate the birth of Christ and the many blessings we have in our lives because of His birth! I hope that everyone is able to feel the Sprit of Christmas this year in their lives and homes and amidst all the excitement and decorations, yummy smells and things to eat, presents and parties realize that it is truly the "Spirit of Christ" that makes our hearts a little happier and gives us hope. ~ MERRY CHRISTMAS!~
