CARRIE!!!!!!

Steve and I took a little trip to Evansville, Indiana to go to the Carrie Underwood concert. (A birthday present to me from Steve) It was so much fun! The concert was amazing- we enjoyed the posh accomadations of the Le Merigot Hotel-(best showers/bathroom ever!!) and had fun walking on the Riverwalk by the Ohio River. It was such a charming little town-I really liked it. It had so many builidings with great architecture-and the town library was the coolest I've ever seen! Plus the cherry blossoms were in full bloom-which I LOVE! We loved the fact that we only had to drive about 2 hours from our house and yet we got the "vacation" feel that we had gone really far away. It was such a fun getaway. I have the best husband for planning this sweet surprise!

Happy Easter!

This was our first Easter here in Kentucky. Every Easter since we've been married we've always had a huge Easter dinner at our house that both of our families came to. It was always such a great time to be able to see everyone and fun to just throw a big party at our house....but this year, that wasn't possible since both of our families are in CA. (It would have of been a long trip for Easter dinner) Our Easter here was so fun though. On Saturday we went over to the Shipley's (some friends in our ward at Church) and dyed eggs, had an egg hunt, ate a yummy lunch, played Wii, and had Bunny Cake! It was such a fun day. We feel so blessed to have such great friends to take care of us here and to have fun with! Hope everyone had a Happy Easter!

Snowflakes Galore!

Our little town of Vine Grove has gotten almost a foot of snow in the last day or so. That is more snow then this area has gotten in the last 10 years! It has been snowing almost non-stop like crazy!!! This morning Steve and I bundled up and went out to play in our backyard. There was SO much snow-it was beautiful!! We made our first Kentucky Snowman, then we went sledding with some friends of ours. It was a fun day...it turned a bit interesting, after about 1 1/2 hours of sledding, when we realized that Steve's keys weren't in his pocket anymore and they could be anywhere on the hill we had been sledding on (which was HUGE-with tons of snow!) We searched and searched but with no luck....we ended up having AAA come and unlock our car-where MY purse and keys were inside. It made for a fun/adventerous day! A big thanks to Mark and Maria for saving the day and helping us look so hard for the keys, and also sticking around till we got things figured out with the locksmith! We came home and thawed out our feet and fingers and now have the fun memory of our sledding day!

A Walk Down Memory Lane.....

So I haven't really taken any new pictures lately because I've been so busy trying to organize all our old pics from the last 5 years onto CD's, then getting them printed out & scrapbooked. It has been really fun seeing all the great memories we have had over the past few years. Here are some of my favorites.
