Hope everyone had a fun 4th of July! We had a pretty relaxing one! We lounged around for most of the day and then that night went to a BBQ at the Shipley's house. It was a blast...lots of yummy food and then after dinner we had a HUGE fireworks show in their backyard ( allthe guys lit them). It was spectacular and complete with a "near-death" firework experience where after they lit one it tipped over and flew right at all of us who were watching. It ended up hitting their house and burning a hole through the exterior...everyone was ok and we can laugh now, but it was quite the scare! Anyway, we had a great time and enjoyed our first Kentucky 4th of July! The day after the 4th we had another fun BBQ at Andy and Meliss's house. It was so much fun...with more yummy food, fun games and great company! We feel so blessed to have the great friends we do out here! I am so grateful for the freedom we enjoy everyday in this country and for the people that made the sacrifices to bring about that freedom. We are priviledged to have it.

I love it! Someone who loves Holidays as much as me:) I cant get over your adorable crafts..Please teach me. Especially the picture frames. I wish we had as much fun as you party animals. We definately kept it pretty low key unfortunately:(
I am calling you, I have been thinking about you all week
It looks like you had a fun 4th!! Did your wild flowers ever bloom in the pots on your front porch? Gracie's finally started blooming about a month ago! Your new flowers are lovely!
Yeah isn't KY home of "Crazy Harry's Fireworks and Beer"? I remember passing that on a roadtrip back in 2001 going up the I-40. I was laughing so hard because I just pictured some guy with a nub for a hand and a beer helmet lighting off fireworks. Not a good combo but I find the people there amusing. Usually at their expense.
XOXO. WE miss you two! :)
